My first pet
My first dependent
My first lap cushion

I took my friend to the medical center the other day. While I was there, surrounded by so many in so much pain, there were bursts of love shining through. It seems that often the most precious exchange of love can come from a casual momentary encounter with a complete stranger. The moment seems to say, "I know you, I feel your pain and I'm with you." I was moved beyond words.
What a charming litte pup! We now have five animals. All of them a rescue or adoption. We had six until recently when our 22 year old cat, passed.
